How long have you been working as 3d artist? how many models have you upload? I think is great you wonder how to move forward, but data is important to evaluate your work and how are you managing your time and energy...
Hello I'm Chris, been doing this a while now. My primary tools of the trade are 3ds Max, Mudbox and Photoshop. I've been wondering how I go about increasing my visibility. I have multiple social media sites that I post my work to, yet aside from the handful of people already following me I'm not sure anyone else see's my stuff.
I usually post to Facebook (including a few 3d groups), Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Sketchfab, Cgtrader and Artstation.
Here's a link to my Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/chrismartinartist
Is my work just not very good? Hard to find? Or otherwise invisible? I'm not even so concerned with monetization at the moment.
I'm also leaning towards specialising in Environmental art as I'm told this is what I'm best at.
All comments welcome.
Thanks

Been doing it for about 7 years, around other commitments, but only really started uploading and making profiles 1-1.5 years ago. I've got about 24 projects uploaded on Artstation, 30ish on Instagram. I do need to have a good 'social media cleanse' and get rid of lesser pieces, and also setup more accounts on other sites in not yet using.
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
CGTrader uses many variables in its search algorithm to ensure that each customer finds the best models for their needs.
To rank higher, your models need to have many good quality preview images, detailed descriptions and precise model tags. It also helps if your descriptions have related keywords, and you upload multiple file formats for every model.
High-quality models are generally ranked higher. Refer to our community forum to get feedback on the quality of your assets.
If your model has a great title and description, it is also more likely to rank higher in other search engines, like Google or Bing. Sharing a link to your CGTrader profile or product page on your personal site, CG forums, social media platforms and other outlets also helps your products gain more traffic and show up higher in the search results.
Take care,
Agota from CGTraider
