Increased security measures on CGTrader

Hello everyone,
We wanted to inform you about improvements made to secure your sensitive information on CGTrader.
From now on, we will ask everyone at CGTrader to confirm any settings changes on sensitive information by sending a security code to your inbox.
Sensitive information includes: password, username, email address and payment agreement.
It is taken as a precautionary measure against any potential fraudulent activity.
Hope this makes you feel a little better about your information protection.
Please let me know if you have any questions on the matter or have any suggestions for potential improvements for this addition.

This is an interesting question. I was always under the impression that fraud protection is the domain of the banks and card companies themselves. I think 3rd party billing companies like Paypal add an extra layer of protection against suspicious activity from within their own systems, but anyone with a merchant account is at the mercy of the card companies and banks when it comes to fraud protection and enforcement. Chargebacks have always been a huge issue for online transactions, because Visa and other creditors usually side with the cardholder 100% of the time.
Hi there, we are aware of this issue and we do understand the negative impact of fraudulent buyers and stolen card use for our sellers. To mitigate these risks, we are working with our partner Adyen to improve the fraud prevention system.
