i have no idea why CGtrader moderators letting this happen?

Discussion started by ibrahimgate

Although they ignored every advice to make this website a better environment to a 3d professional designs maker. Now they also don't care about site regulations.

As shown in the picture is a 3d modeling design section. and now someone is posting Advertisement on how to buy DRUGS...... what is next?

Do i need to look for substitution website?

Anny suggestions?

I cannot report every trol in here .... we need attention

the freelance section is a mess, i stopped checking it long time ago, the amount of people advertising their services or even posting BS project is staggering, to be honest, it's bad reputation and nothing more.

Totally agree with you, specially those kids who post projects and let you spend time on it, then they just cancel it, or asking to have it for free because they cannot pay

Every 3d modelling website is having problems lately. Take a look at the Artstation Marketplace if you want to see something horrendous. Flooded with Indonesian gambling site ads. Each one originating from a unique account. Site admins cannot keep up with these guys.

CGTrader is doing a good job of contending with these spammers, by comparison to the other web sites that are like it, so please be patient.

If they charge fees for posting a project in the first place, scammers and spammers will go away automatically. and the website will grow faster for only legit users. And i am patient, and i want this website to grow faster cuz i like its simplicity. And i advised my friends to use it as they are doing now, for that only i am little bit upset no more no less. thanks for your reply.

I agree with Forester. CGT is better in many cases then many of its direct and indirect competitors. However, the each section of this site still can be much much better.

i agree with the idea that there should be a small amount of money paid to list a project in the free lance section, something like a 25 cents, this way you get the info if this person is serious about the project and at the same time you will have the credit card confirmation.

yup, i suggested that many times. But, it seems that no one cares tbh

@ultra-in-order, In my opinion, if make it that would lead to emptiness of the freelance section.

Ok, let's assume that it would be made. What next then, let's make 3d artists to pay for their proposals as well? since, as to me, it's a logical extension of such "innovations".

Guys, the reality is that I had many of clients which initially wanted just to ask, but ultimately started projects and paid good at the end. I'd be really surprised If you'd guys do freelancing never face the same.

to be honest it's not a bad idea also to make freelancers pay a very low fee, this way you avoid spammers who would apply to anything weather they know how to do it or not. you as a experienced freelancer will find a 25 cent fee per application nothing, on the other hand spammers and under cutters by nature will find it hard to swallow, i'm not proposing that CGT do the same as the website "freelancer" since it's absurd and doesn't solve the problem, but rather work with same business model of "etsy" quality always attracts high paying projects!

I agree, it may seem like a good solution, but indeed it isn't so, just after making a bit deeper analise into. That is a destructive idea and will not solve the problem. Everywhere it was implemented have only one purpose is to high the profit of the platform but never to help the community. 1. Everything big and quality always starts from quantity. Quantity of freelance projects which are posting here daily - far not even a half in the comparison to specialized freelance platforms have. 2. The specific of the freelance is that the wast majority of "clients" come with inadequately cutted budjets in times, so to pay for it is nothing for them. Even not saying that they will obviously go to all the other platforms, which are free to post, by the way. 2. The problem is that I personally know many of a real pro who will not pay a penny to get a fruitless blah-blah-blah. So many of people who are doing good works will simply leave this place. So such solution won't help.

The other thing that here is the reputation score, which after a thorough adjustment may be used for the purpose additionally, I think.

so you agree to allow ppl who doesn't even own money neither a method for payment, to trol others with imaginary projects and label their projects with (##$)? that doesn't make any sense,,,, how could you go to McDonald's and order and burger and when the cashier asks you to pay, you cancel the order , because you donʻt have a method of payment neither you did plan to pay in the first place, you just want to see how the burger going to look like (for sAkE oF InNoVaTioN as you said up there). Think about it. For me personally, i prefer an empty legit place rather than a circus with many trols, plus it is considered a time wasting environment. If you ask for innovation, let them make 2 freelance section (a credible one that is premium , and a free one (circus of trols ), a one that you like).

If to think about how to make freelancing here better, it would be useful, as to me, if there would be a kind of markers which would accompany new posted projects such as "I'm just to ask", "I need the PRO" and "I do not want to pay actually".

How do you guys think, would it work?

ibrahimgate wrote
If someone posted a project that intend to pay 400$, does it bother him if he pay 1$ fees as posting fees? by doing this, the designer will know that this person will pay, because he got method of payment. and by doing this, you will kick away those 12 years old sh!t kids who doesnʻt even own a credit or visa cards. some of these kids just post anime girls pictures as projects, thus offering 400$ as project fees, and applicants do the work and show portfolio, then that 12 years old sh!t just cancel the project. what a waste of time ..... even many of my friends just left into better site lie fiverr... shame
