Hi guys, this is something that would be interesting for a lot of sellers, but we cannot reveal it as this is private information of each seller. However, if you would like, please feel free to share your own experience and which of your models sell best :)

Envato does this, and i find it very helpful scoutting good models to create, so i Also agree, and in the matter of privacy, sellers should have the option to choose this or hide.

I don't think as seller I want to hide any of my product information.
if I sell more then people are more intrested in my model it is some kind of marketing you say so as seller I don't have problem to disclose my selling quantity.

Many marketing sites reveal how many times it was sold to the model.
This gives security to the buyer, and helps to sell more.
I do not think it's an invasion of privacy, however, if someone does not want to reveal it could still not do it.
It 'a very good idea!
You could also put a filter that looks for models as "best sellers".
I hope that you will do it.

The thread starter seem to speak about personal statistics, not about showing everybody what models sell well.

If you guys had enough experience from selling online you would know that divulging your sales in this business means killing your business. Your models (no matter how good they are) are actually not as important as your selling strategy, but I'm sure you will find this out, given time.

I am not started this thread for any personal intension.
I just feel it and start it if we talk about you(Exnihilum),so you are a Authorised Seller so have right's to say this and for person like you (good seller, selling strategy maker) they can provide you privecy option.
and I am not asking for your strategy I just wanted to be aware what is in market or what is out of market.
and in any way if you are a great seller you create new strategy accordingly.
but we are new in this market so we have to know this all.

I'm pretty confident that some more information for sellers will be introduced so that they know better what type of models to focus on. :)

I don't want a privacy option for me personally.

I want privacy for everybody.
And you can have an option to deactivate it, if you want to.
I will gladly take a peek at what sells well in your collection, might be useful.

I think the original poster might be asking for the site's listing of the top selling products. We don't need to know exactly how many copies of each model were sold, just that Product A is the top seller/ most popular, Product B is the next most popular, and so on. The site could list the top 25 or 50 products.

Also, what about showing a ranking of the merchants in terms of sales? Obviously, again, do not show the actual sales amounts, but just a list that says Merchant A is the top seller, followed by Merchant B, and so on.

However, I should point out that just because Product A is the best selling product doesn't necessarily mean that Product A1 will also be a best seller. Sometimes products become best sellers because of their originality which copies, look-alikes, or knock-offs can't duplicate.

Thanks for the feedback John! We've been thinking how we could showing top selling products in a way that it would not hurt anyone and provide useful information. Your idea about top list without sales sounds interesting, we will look into that!

Hello there,

When a site shows the best selling models you will find that those models are copied over and over again, causing a price war in that sector, and ultimately killing that type of model. Lets not go there.

I never actually thought about it... Have you seen this kind of stuff happening on other marketplaces?

Years ago Turbosquid used to have a feature like this. It was removed at the request of artist because they were seeing their top models duplicated and price undercut.
