I did not get any.
I mean it almost feels impossible to get a job here, what do you guys do to get the freelance jobs?
I did not get any.
Imagine you are a customer... would you trust your money on somebody who is calling himself BlindBandit? ; )
First you need to have a portfolio and work that will show your skills.
@luxxeon that's a great idea, how do you make them?
What I noticed was that they are paying way too low for what they ask. Like full characters at blizzard level, textured and rigged for... $50, or high quality full detail modern vehicles in both high and low poly for $50 as well, etc.
I wouldn't care not getting jobs at those rates (unless I'm missing something).
Well, to be completely blunt with you, I went on to your profile and I don't see any amazing looking works/products, so if I were a customer, I would've seen your application, went over to your profile and got out in less than one minute.
I myself haven't applied to more then 3 (I think) jobs in here, but those I have applied to I also have gotten. As someone has already said, people are asking for shitty prices here. I mean stuff that I'd normally ask $2,000 people want for $100 or even less, and I'm like "yeah sure buddy, you find yourself an amateur who'd do that".
One other thing is how you present yourself. Your profile image, and especially your description make me thing you're just a beginner or hobbyist who's happy if he gets any kind of work. Perhaps that's actually the case, but people don't need to know that. You need to make yourself look bigger and more important than you actually are, even if indeed you just somebody who's doing some Blender work from their bedroom.
Remember, people see only what you let them see.
