Front page mess

Discussion started by stereomanik

I have found that the home page of my public profile shows the models in a total mess.

In this way, a model made yesterday, can appear on page 4, and its place in the first is occupied by an old model, the result is that new models do not appear when entering, and that reduces their exposure and sales.

I do not know if it is about company policy, an attempt to promote models with less exposure, or some kind of failure in the program.

In any case, it is very annoying, and I would like to know why this happens.

Same here. Previously it was some mishmash of best match and newest models and that was kinda okeyish, but now it looks like models are picked in total random. Doesn't look very good, especially for one who has many models of different quality. Please fix that.

Now it all looks correct, maybe was unintentional, in any case seems to be fixed.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing our attention to this - the algorithm was a little bit off and we're working on improving it, so the results should look better soon.

Hi Eddie. Please I need your insights on this regard, because I would really appreciate having the ability to arrange my models myself. For me now it's not a big deal as I have just a few models but I'm certain this will change in the future as I expand my collection towards more complex models with higher prices. I don't want by any means them buried deep away from my front page. Do I have to be confident on an algorithm to do so? Is there a heavy reason for that?

Hi Fran, Well, we're constantly working on search algorithms to improve what we show on top. The option to arrange the models by yourself is also something we keep in the back of our heads, even though it's not in the works at the moment. So one way or the other, we'll keep improving the listing pages (as well as front pages) to show the best possible options. So I'd very much like to see your confidence here. Cheers!

Ok Eddie, I guess I can seat and see how the algorithm arrange our collections of models in the future. I hope you'll be able to shape a really smart one though. For the sake of all of us, good luck.

Many thanks Eddie, it all seems to work correctly now, it´s a pleasure to have such a devoted staff here in CGT.

It's broken again. Also sorting doesn't work at all - whatever option i'd choose, models' order is always the same.
