Is there any free software to create a "good enough" normal- or height-map from a diffuse/albedo/base color map? The software needs to be compatible with Mac.
Thanks in advance!

I use Awesome Bump, which is quite fantastic... and free! Problem is, to get it working on mac, you have to build it from source, I haven't tried it myself but peolple say it's working.
Here's the files

Here detailed instructions on how to build it

There are several tools for Photoshop which you can download for free, however if you are looking for tech that can give good results, then its unlikely you'll be able to find free options.
Its not free, but i use Bitmap2Material for creating different maps from an image.
Thanks, everyone, for your help!
