Does any one know what is the purpose of CG trader Gallery ? does it promote your profile ? because they saying that you shouldn't be able to publish any of your selling work on it but i see many people keep posting on it like crazy , any answer i will be much appreciated

I more askmyself why the gallery thumbails are in such a nonsense format and aspect ratio. And by the way stretching the true rendering in the thumbial to nonsense proportions and then cutting like 1/4 to 1/3 of the true rendering on the gallery image itself. Already got rid of any gallery images because of that technical nonsense on CGt side.
I've posted about 3 old projects of mine i got nothing but a couple of likes , not sure if some one can use it to make more friends or get more visibility like behance or Artstation
also, having gallery entries with 40-80 likes in average per entry, did not affected my sales in any way, so... gallery postings did not help me to increase sales, and I don´t believe they help that much other vendors.
Back in the days, the gallery used to work just fine, but like many things in cgtrader it became broken some 4 or 5 years ago and cgtrader never bothered to fix it, despite numerous complaints from the users. I wonder why CGT is keeping this embarrassment open to the public eye. If they don't want, or can't fix it, they should shut it down, this thing lost its purpose long time ago anyway.
It's how abandoned system works. If a system is properly maintained, there is no reason why its work shouldn't be stable over time, or even improving with years.
