For the first look, I always use Microsofts integrated "3D Viewer". (App is called 3D Viewer)
Later in the project, I like to use Unreal Engine 4 (currently sometimes Unreal Engine 5) because it is fast and reliable.
I do not need to install all options of Unreal Engine 4, only the core version. No Editor Symbols, Starter Content and so on.
I do not know if you have the space for around 18 GB of core components. (I often use it. For me, it makes no difference.)
