Yes that is so true! Bad topology messes up 3D prints like you wouldn't believe! I thought bad geometry and super high poly meshes were only bad for games and animation projects. I was wrong! They are very bad for 3D printing too especially if you are running large models. Sometimes the printer does not know what to do with the odd bad topology info and scrambles your print. Other times it just makes the process so slow since it takes forever to resize scale or do any mods to the mesh and even crashes the software.
