3D printing options

Discussion started by tvbteam

I am jeweler based in UAE. I want to explore this technology. I have below queries for which i am looking answers.

1. If i buy model from cgtrader platform, how will i convert it into metals. Is there any 3D machine which can produce gold or silver models instantly when we load design in 3D machine. Or i have to go for traditional method of lost wax casting. How can i achieve texture same as of 3D model?

2. what kind of materials we use to print jewellery

3. Can i able to hire designer for my projects who can design & send model files for me

4. Please help.

Hi tvbteam,

1. There are some cases where jewelry is printed with silver, but I don't have enough info on this.
2. Usually jewelry is printed with Sculpteo Silver Brass, but some services can provide gold if needed.
3. If you need to find a designer, you can go to our 3D jobs and request assistance for your projects. The link is: https://www.cgtrader.com/jobs

Hope this helps.

All the best,

There is a titanium 3d printer as I recall someone that works with cnc machines and selling them telling me about it.
However he did mention it was expensive .. very expensive and traditional milling techniques may prove more cost efficient.
