Why triangulated mesh?

They look like quads to me, it's how some render engines percieve the quad and display it. 2 triangles make up 1 poly or quad, so it draws the intersecting line that divides the poly essentially drawing tri's. Have a closer look at the mesh and you'll see each square shape of the overal polygon a bit more clearly :) At least this has been my experience in applications such as keyshot (it too draws triangulated quads when applying wireframe modifiers to materials.)
