WIP city

Discussion started by mig91

Turbosquid forum is quiet so i put this in here too.. so:

I am building a low poly city where every building is unique. The size of platform is currently 2km x 1km and polycount is 33k. Im thinking the pricing and i have no idea how large pricetag i should put on this. Is somewhere in $100-60 good amount for this (im going to add more building till the platform is full)?

I am open for critics :)

In picture39, i started to create smaller buildings in left side of city :)

edit. heres latest topdown render:

Very cool! I really like over all flow and variation of buildings you created. It is very pleasing to they eye.

Yeah forget about the Turbosquid forums... it isn't much of a community over there... the people aren't friendly at all and that is yet another reason why I Love CG Trader! Here people actually bother to look at your work and give you constructive criticism.

They also help you improve when you need help. I have been learning a lot throughout the process.

Renders look promising so far.

Are you going to sell the geometry alone, or will it have well defined mapping cords and textures when finished?

If the product is going to be the geometry alone then I would not go above 60.
Well trained modelers block this sort of models out relatively quickly.

It's hard to judge price going out from this early preview, I would have to see the finished product and al its details (tech specs, renders, wire frames, mapping cords, textures, etc.), so it can be compared with other offers out there.

Thanks for replys!
Im not going to texture this city, but im planning to create smaller city/town where is textured, mapped and detailed buildings.
This city has now +120 buildings and when it is finished i think there will be over 200 of them. Polycount is now 45k :)

You can embed Vimeo or Youtube movies (of 360° turntable or whatever), in the preview section of your product files manager just click on the red plus sign in the last blank thumbnail. A popup titled "new visual' will appear, there you can add the share link found in your video.

Finally click to embed the content and drag and drop the movie thumbnail in the location you want your video icon to show up in your presentation.

Tip: you can also do this with real time 3D viewer like Sketchfab and others.
