Interesting, I didn't know that. Nice feature for the sellers. Though I don't like this kind of stuff myself. And 100 points are not that easily made when you don't upload some models or create tutorials...

After a first few downloads we encourage our users to start growing their own reputation points.
In this case, we ask for either getting 100 reputation points OR having a shout for the designer whose models you're trying to download via social channel.
Try sharing the message by clicking on Facebook/Twitter/G+ logos, and you'll be free to download more 3D models. :)
