House model for wife surprise, help please!

I'm a 3d printer newbie. My family is building a new house, and I want to surprise my wife with a 3d printed model. I am having trouble modeling it, and would appreciate any guidance. I'm unsure if it needs to be printed in multiple pieces... or what support is needed... or how to make sure this even looks good. Please help! I tried to do stuff in SketchUp but am not very technologically savvy. Is there a way to print this in sections so it looks like one piece, but then i can pull apart in the middle / take roof off so you can see the rooms? Just printing the outside would also be fine.
