Subject: Action Required Verify Your Payment Details to Access Your New Order

Dear Designer,

We are reaching out from the CGTrader Support Team to inform you that a buyer has successfully placed and paid for one of your models. However, your payment details have not yet been verified in our system, and for security reasons, the order cannot be processed until verification is complete.

Please note that starting from April 15, 2025, CGTrader has introduced an updated verification procedure for all designers receiving payments. This is part of our enhanced security measures to ensure a safe and compliant payout process for our community.

To proceed, please complete the verification process by clicking the secure link below and following the instructions:

Once your payout information is verified, the buyer’s order will be properly displayed in your account, and the funds will be transferred directly to your registered payment method.

Important: CGTrader holds the client’s payment securely for up to 24 hours. If verification is not completed within this time frame, the order will be canceled automatically, and your account may be temporarily restricted. You can appeal and restore access at any time.

Should you need assistance or have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
CGTrader Support Team"

These are scammers, don’t fall for such messages. They ask for bank card verification, and if you follow the links and enter your card details, you’ll lose all your money. These kinds of messages come not only on CGTrader but also on other marketplaces—be careful.

Hi everyone,

We’d like to sincerely apologise for the recent issues some of you have experienced.

Our team identified a phishing attempt that targeted a number of users on the platform. As part of our response, we proactively removed suspicious accounts and introduced additional security measures, including password resets, to help protect our users.

Please be cautious with any unexpected emails - especially those asking for payment details or urging you to click links.

Only CGTrader administrators have a checkmark next to their profile name, so always look for that when someone claims to be from our team. The admin checkmark is also visible in the message screen, helping you verify whether you're talking to a real CGTrader representative.

You can see an example of a verified CGTrader admin profile here:

And you can read more on how to identify real CGTrader employees here:

Thanks for your understanding, and feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions or concerns.

Best,
CGTrader Team

I got this email too.
Why is the email address exactly the same as CGTrader - info@info.cgtrader.com ??
When the link asked for credit card number I got suspicious.

The letter was sent by the Cgtrader team, the structure and design of the letter is the same as what Cgtrader usually sends, even the sender is the same. Which is really strange.

I got that message, right now, from some 'cgtrader-verification-bot' account. It's a scam.

Thank god I looked this up, they nearly got me... Everything looked authentic but something didn't feel right...

Received two days ago in my CGT mailbox and in my personal email, with an email address identical to CGT's. An hour ago, I received this message again. All it takes is one malicious person to cause a crazy mess with complete impunity. Long live the future, oops, sorry, long live the present. Ü
