Taking a cue from the great designers of the 1939 World's Fair, the Eisen Flieger (Iron Airplane) robot was created for the opening scene from the 2004 movie Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow. These towering machines with their head mounted death beam and ability to fly were a fantastic sight to behold.
Measuring at 13 inches in height (at a scale of 1:144), this model has been designed to match the 3D versions that were seen in the film.
The files have a high -poly count so that all of the details are clean and sharp to the eye. This will also allow you to scale the kit up to 1:72nd scale (200% increase)
While resin printing is the 1st best option, it can be printed in PLA on any filament printer.
With a total of 24 pieces you can build the robot in either a standing, walking or flight pose. The body has more then enough space to allow for the addition of lighting for the head.
I am including a full assembly guide with the attached files. Thank you for viewing this model and I hope you enjoy printing & building this piece.
File conversions of the model are available upon request.
