The Eagle 5 - Space Vehicle

The Eagle 5 - Space Vehicle 3D print model

Description

Take a 1986 Winnebago Chieftain 33, modify it with High Powered Engines and wings for maximum lift and you get the iconic Eagle 5 Space vehicle. Piloted by Captain Lone Starr and his loyal mawg Barf, they travel in the ship looking to help rescue Princess Vespa from the evil clutches of Dark Helmet and his loyal army of Spaceballs.

Measuring at 12 inches in length and just over 3 inches in width (not counting the wing span), this model has been designed to match the filming miniture that was used in the film. The files have a high -poly count so that all of the details are clean and sharp to the eye. While resin printing is the 1st best option, it can be printed in PLA on any filament printer.

With a total of 34 pieces you can build the exterior of the ship as well as two of the interior sections (the cockpit and the main lounge). Areas have been made hollow to allow for the addition of lighting to the overall printed kit.

I will be uploading a full assembly guide and decal sheet for this in the next few days. A link to the build done by Lou Dalmaso is in the youtube preview area.

Thank you for viewing this model and I hope you enjoy printing & building this piece.

File conversions of the model are available upon request.

Update Sept 16, 2023 -- I have added in a new set of tires (located in the file folder Updated Wheels Eagle5) for the vehicle. These new parts have a much better tread and hubcap design to them.

I have also added in a Bench Cabinet (file located in the Interior Folder) that goes next to the bench seat on the passenger side. Please let me know if you have any questions about these new parts.

Hello, is it possible to have the exterior walls and frame cut in half for an enlarged print? I want to fit it in my printer but i Can't seem to get it to work with what I am using, even lowering it below the build plate before I slice it. Thanks.

Hello, I have uploaded a file folder called Eagle 5 split parts. In this zip file I have included the following parts which have been split in half (The Chassis, the Ceiling, Driver side wall and Passenger side wall) These are at the original scale as the other files. Please le tme know if you have any other questions.

Hello, the decals are designed to be printed on standard 8.5 by 11 paper. If you print them on A4 it will slightly enlarge them (they will be stretched vertically). I will include a copy of them in A4 format in the file folder. Thanks for your comment and have a great time building the kit.

That’s so very much appreciated. I’m on a Bambu A1 mini so I’d already split the longer pieces myself, but so far it’s a really fun build. Oh while I’ve got you, the engine mount is in the files as x2 but one needs flipped as they only fit one way. :) Oh and the engine has a line for the wing so it needs flipped and I assume also the wing, rather than just printing 2 of each. Infact a lot of things say x2 but need a copy mirrored. The side mirrors Thanks again.

Hi. Looking forward to printing this next! Best Eagle 5 model I’ve seen available! I assume the decals need printed on a sheet of A4 decal paper. But best not to assume these things. Just checking on the size needed. Thanks x and may the Schwartz be with you.
