1/1800th scale John C Butler Class Destroyer Escort model. Certain elements not to scale.
The John C Butler class were a set of 83 (originally 293 planned) destroyer escorts built for the US Navy during WWII. They were designed for 24 knots, but one was known to, in the heat of battle for an hour, run at a speed of 28.7 knots. They carried 5 torpedo tubes, two five-inch guns, and a sizeable collection of antiaircraft armament and anti-submarine weapons.
This model is designed and tested at 1/1800th scale, but up-scaling and down-scaling are possible. Since the model is optimized for 1/1800th scale, it is not ideal to print larger versions due to a lack of detail. The gun barrels and mast have been enlarged.
This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.
Update 21 Aug 19: Added boats and anchor chains.
Tested with PLA at .08mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
