The problems reported on 28.08.2023 have been fixed:

  • The keyboard has now a correct topology and it is also more detailed
  • The flying bolts problem has been fixed

Improvements (not related to the reported problems):

  • The soundboard has a more detailed texture with the Bechstein stamp
  • The fallboard has an improved geometry

The old model is still available, the new one (and the new textures) has the suffix _2023

Detailed model of a C. Bechstein grand piano, detailed enough for close up renders. Reflection planes for EEVEE have been created for main surfaces (lid, fallboard and music desk) and are child of the corresponding object. The piano action is not fully modeled, only hammers are present.Only elements that have a texture (fallboard, rim, soundboard) are unwrapped.

Environment and other assets (piano stool, metronome and books) are not included in this file.

Important: this is a relatively high poly model (266542 polygons), so it could be quite heavy on very low end machines, especially if you enable EEVEE with the planar reflection probes active, which is the default behavior.

Hallo! It looked really nice, but once inside my computer, it's so heavy that it slows down the whole system and I already had two crashes ... that's not nice! You should specify you need a truck to handle it. Thanks
