This pack contains 151 real world PNG greyscale heightmaps (82 from Finland and 69 from Italy - South Tyrol). Finland is well known for its low altitude landscapes, many beautiful lakes, while the Italian region South Tyrol is one of the most beautiful mountains region from Italy. The heightmaps have a 2017 x 2017 resolution and they are created from Digital Elevation Models with 2 meters and 2.5 meters precision. The Italian landscapes generated with the heightmaps from this pack will have a surface area of about 72 square Km and the Finland landscapes will have a surface area of about 36 square km. This pack is for everyone who wants to create beautiful and realistic 3D mountains/lakes/plains landscapes. The heightmaps can be used for games, cinematics, movies etc.

Important: The pack was tested in Unreal Engine but it doesn't mean you can not use the heightmaps with different software/game engine. The heightmaps can be used in any software that uses Greyscale PNG heighmaps like Unity, World Machine, World Creator, Terre Sculptor etc. In order to keep the exact proportions of the real landscape, in the name of every heightmap, you can find the X, Y and Z scales for that heightmap. For example, in the filename Italy5_XY_434_Z_370, the X and Y scale is 434 and Z scale is 370. These scales are for Unreal Engine where 1 unit = 1 cm. If, for example, you are using the heightmaps in a different game engine or software that uses different scales like 1 unit = 1 meter than, to keep the correct proportions the correct X and Y scale for the same heightmap will be 4.34 and Z scale 3.70. The landscape material from the trailer is not included in this pack.
