165 PNG Heightmaps - 8k resolution Low-poly 3D model

This pack contains 165 PNG Greyscale Heightmaps, which will help you create 165 realistic 3D landscapes/terrains for your game/movie/scene. All heightmaps have a resolution of 8129 x 8129 and will allow you to create 64 square Km landscapes in Unreal Engine, Unity or any other game engine or software that allows PNG format for heightmaps.

Depending on what type of landscape you can achieve, the pack is structured in 6 categories:

• Canyon

• Dunes

• Island

• Mountains

• Rocky Desert

• Rocky Hills

IMPORTANT: this pack contains heightmaps with a Z scale between 0-255. The pack was tested in Unreal Engine but it doesn't mean you can not use the heightmaps with different software. THE NAME OF EVERY HEIGHTMAP in this pack CONTAINS A Z SCALE THAT I RECOMMEND (for Unreal Engine) but that also can be changed depending of your preferences/software you use. For best results, the X and Y scale in Unreal should always be 100. If you will use the heightmaps with software that have a different scale than Unreal Engine, then you will have to adapt the scales a little bit to keep the same proportions. ( Let's take for example 1 heightmap from the pack called: Canyon13_Z_Scale_86 . 1 Unreal unit = 1 cm, so when you import the heightmap into Unreal to create a landscape, the X and Y scales should be 100 and the Z scale should be 86. But if you use the heightmaps in a software that have 1 unit = 1 m to keep the recommanded proportions you should change the X and Y scale to 1 and the Z scale to 0.86. You will have to make all these transformations only if you want to keep the proportions that I recomend, otherwise it is up to you to change the scales until you get the desired result. Still, as a general rule, the X and Y scale should allways have the same value, it doesn't matter what software you use, otherwise the final lanbdscape will look unnatural.

The landscape material from the trailer is not included in this pack (you will get only the heightmaps).
