Since I left a negative review, the author has been in contact with me and has spent the last several months improving the models to address my complaints as best he could. He obviously cares a great deal about delivering a good product. Unfortunately, he was not able to improve the models as much as we both would have liked, since he was constrained by not ruining the textures, but the improvements he made and the dedication he showed is definitely worth a positive review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The models do look nice, however if you take the time to examine them you will find that they are quite sloppily made. I need to create LODs from these an the messiness is making it unnecessarily difficult.
The UVs especially are very messy with lots of small islands which increases the vertex count unnecessarily . It looks as though the UVs were automatically generated rather than being made by hand.
The geometry itself can be messy too. There are faces that are hidden inside of the geometry that don't need to be there. The triangulation in some areas doesn't make any sense and should be much cleaner if the original model had proper topology with quads.
All things considered for the price it is a very good looking model pack, certainly one of the best game-ready arcade model packs that exists anywhere. Just be aware that some of the models are quite messy if you care about that sort of thing. I really wish I could give a more detailed rating than "Positive" or "Negative", I just have to go with negative mainly because I am just disappointed.
