Transcended Consciousness: A Sunken Space

Media Art creates a narrative that transcends the subconscious mind of the individual as their gaze is fixated on what is being consumed by the eyes. The cultural significance of media arts to me transcends the face value of what meets the eyes. I get a notion of “transcended consciousness” while engaging with it through the lens of a Nigerian in the diaspora. It creates this ephemeral sense of curiosity as to the meaning of the art in its entirety.

This space allows for lingering, pondering and rediscovery of oneself.
