In my latest university project, I recreated Pieter Claesz's painting (Still Life with a Skull and a Writing Quill) in 3D. I've been working on a detailed skull model for the past few months so I decided to use that model instead of sculpting a new one, although I heavily modified it and resculpted details to resemble the skull in reference. Other models were created from scratch, I sculpted everything by hand, and after that I did quick retopology in Maya, textures in Substance Painter and built scene, and lighting in Maya with Arnold render engine.
