Khrushchevkas are Soviet standard panel or brick apartment buildings, usually five stories high, with small-sized apartments. In Russia and the rest of the post-Soviet countries you can see these in every city. Most people in post-Soviet countries live in these buildings. Khrushchev houses were built in the style of constructivism in order to minimize costs and maximize functionality. They create a depressing, dystopian atmosphere, for which Soviet architecture is so famous.
