The main aim of this project is to reduce the traffic in the parking
place. Normally we can see in the cinema halls, large industries,
towers, and function halls there is problem they have to go and
search which line is empty and which line having place to park the
vehicle, then they need workers for parking in correct position, it is
a money and time consuming process. So to avoid this problem
Automated Car Parking System project is implemented.
Automated parking is a method of automatically parking and
retrieving cars or vehicles without the driver.
There are different types of automatic car parking systems
including Rotary, Tower, Underground and Puzzle.
Rotary parking is designed to permit up to a maximum of 16 cars
to be parked easily and safely, on the surface area required to
park 2 cars.
The driver will park his vehicle on a pallet at the platform of the car
park. Then the sensor will detect the available empty parking
spaces and display them on the control panel. After the driver
selects the desired parking space on the control panel, the vehicle
will be transported to that parking space. In order to retrieve the
vehicle, the driver will select the location of his vehicle on the
control panel. The system will retrieve the vehicle from the parking
space and send it back to the original position where the driver is
waiting.
