One of the major activities of the Art-Belarus artistic legacy and modern Belarusian art gallery is the creation of a cultural bridge between the past, the present and the future of the national school of art. Given this the goal was set to create a modern interior that would have references to the Belarusian national art forms. The interior that will be simple in form, laconic in color and that will become a harmonic backstage for exhibits not interrupting visually exhibited works of art.
The exhibition area has a free layout and can be divided by modular elements of the exhibition equipment if required. The central part is the zone with two stairs leading to the upper level. The major element of the zone is the spider-light (the straw "spider" in folk culture has a symbolic meaning and is talisman designed to protect the house). Accentual elements are stairs railings and red parts of columns.
A modular system of exhibition equipment for paintings built into walls' recesses was designed while working on the project. A figurative and artistic interior solution based on associations with the Belarusian national art symbols was created.
Besides the exhibition area (1850 sq.m.) the guest zone includes the buffet (74 sq.m.) with a seating capacity of 24. The buffet was designed based on the same principles as the exhibition hall – modern interior with softly redesigned national culture themes. As a result, a laconic, minimalistic and a sort of ascetic but not lacking bright accents interior was created.
