The Banjska Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery in the Banjska village near Zvečan in Kosovo and Methoija.
The monastery, along with the Church of St Stephen, was founded by Serbian King Stefan Milutin. Milutin built the church as his mausoleum in Raška architectural style.
Today Banjska monastery has changed a lot from its initial concept. At the beginning of the 14th century Banjska was combination of romanesque (sculpture), gothic (windows) and byzantine sacral art. This was my attempt to recreate Banjska original form.
