This was done for the most recent challenge.
4K Texture for the body, 2K Textures for everything else
~64K Tris total
I used Victor Ulloa's concept https://www.artstation.com/torvic. I had a few bigger challenges with tying the knots in 3D. I ended up using Bezier Curves in blender and Curves in Maya to attach geometry to, and after a lot of meticulous work I was able to get them tied. The trickiest part was "tightening the knots" because you can't just pull! I had lots of fun with this and I will keep improving for my next projects.
