Going Merry (One Piece)

The Going Merry was the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates as the main transportation from East Blue to Water 7. The ship was later completely damaged after the attack on Enies Lobby and was replaced by the Thousand Sunny.

It is a Karavel class ship designed by Merry and given by Kaya to Luffy as a gift for saving him. Over time, the ship became loved by the crew as a home and as a nakama, as if the ship had a life of its own and was considered to be one of the crew. Unfortunately the Going Merry received so much damage during the voyage that it reached its limit after Enies Lobby and received a viking-style funeral.
