I have always wanted to work on a scene with real looking grass in it and after a year-and-a-half of using Blender, I thought it was finally time to do it. I used 4 different particle systems with hair emitters for the grass so that my view-port would not slow down too much and then added the baseball and built the fence. I then composited the final render with the Blender compositor to give it a more cinematic/film look.
