Hey all!
We all love creating royalty-free content, which is why we are here! We wanna help other people finish fast, because we know what it's like to grind at the mill endlessly! hehe. So, I also create other kinds of royalty-free content, not just models! "NO WAY!" you say, but oh yes, indeed! lol.
This one is for pixabay and it is based on a Blender Render tutorial of mine. The basic techniques remain VERY solid, so don't be afraid to check it out!
For Anime - Open Sea:

It is part of a subseries of an ongoing series called For Anime. Anime Inception! hahaha. Anyway, you can check out the other tutorials here:

The reason I'm sharing this is because of the before and after factors involved. I am blown away by the new result and just want to share it! So many new things and techniques, all just came together to make this thing pop!
List of some of the new things:
- Offscreen sunglare
- New NPR shaders built from scratch (not my algorithms, but built from scratch)
- Post processing node groups were used
- Clouds on a round cube, vs the world
- Node Based materials system with EEVEE, instead of Blender Render (settings/layers/slots)
- Higher detail material with SSS faked on the points of the water, to make it look more like water
- Foam texture generated by the ocean modifier now works with vertex colors, so no baking required like with Cycles. Blender Render never required baking.
You can find both an image and video version on my Pixabay
