I modeled this desktop CNC machine in Fusion 360. I designed each piece so that it can be printed with a simple 3D printer. It is also very easy to assemble. The Z direction can be raised to a height of 30 mm and fixed with screws. Watch this video carefully. The tool is raised and lowered by a Nema 17 stepper motor using gears. The pieces made with 3D printing can be screwed onto a 10 mm thick wooden sheet from below. The wooden board can be thicker than this. The machine can be assembled with an 8-diameter trapezoidal thread spindle and 10 mm diameter shafts.
