The church of saint Peter and Paul of is one of the oldest churches on the canonical territory of the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is located near the modern day city Novi Pazar.
The church served as the seat of the Serbian eparchy, as the rotunda plan with a semi-circular apse on the eastern side which is characteristic of first court chapels. In historical sources, it is first mentioned as a seat of a bishopric in the 10th century. It is considered to be one of the earliest spiritual centers in the Old Ras area where the first Serbian state was created.
It was altered numerous times during history retaining partially its original circle shape.
