Heraclea Pontica - 3D model of a Byzantine seaside town designed for the upcoming action-adventure video game ''A Traitor's End''.
A Traitor's End will take players on a journey through the perilous beginnings of the First Crusade, as they navigate their way through the political turmoil of the Byzantine and Seljuk Empires.
Heraclea Pontica is designed to represent Byzantine architecture characteristic for the 11th century with reference to older periods:
- the large church on the agora was modeled after the emperor's Justinian Hagia Irina at Istanbul
- the smaller church on the hill is modeled after the emperor's Justinian church of Saint Sergius and Bacchus also in Istanbul.
Agora is a combination of former Greek and Roman architecture that could be seen in Byzantine cities with added Christian elements.
Main port with lighthouse, agora, cathedral church, city walls and palace section.
Modeling in Blender 3.6. Rendering in cycles.
