A project developed during the TPI course with Professor Marcos Brito, this DeWalt Angle Grinder represents a dive into the world of 3D texturing. Using Substance Painter and Photoshop, every detail was meticulously crafted to capture the essence of the original equipment. Rendering using Marmoset proved to be essential to express the complexity of the materials with impressive fidelity.
My current focus is on mastering PBR techniques, exploring the subtleties of the albedo, roughness and metalness layers. The challenge lies in simulating the interaction of light with different materials - from oxidized metals to the smooth texture of rubber, including the rough surfaces of sandpaper.
