The Douglas D5.0-15A configuration was developed as a Mach 5 passenger aircraft under a NASA High-Speed Civil Transport (HSCT) study contract in 1986-1988. It would have been powered by four variable cycle hyperjet engines using liquid methane fuel and carried 300 passengers up to a distance of 7,200 km.
Modeled after drawings from the NASA report. Includes both STL files for 3D printing and a separate untextured low-poly model for rendering.
Printable fuselage models for either in flight or gear down version. Fuselage, engine pod, landing gear and doors as separate parts. This is a big model even in the 1:400 scale of the stl files, with length of 224 mm and wingspan of 104 mm. Due to this also versions with fuselage in two parts.
