48 Wall Street is a 512ft (156m) tall skyscraper in New York City's Financial District. The building was designed by Benjamin Wistar Morris in a Colonial Revival style. Construction was completed in 1929. Until 1998, the tower held the name of Bank of New York & Trust Company Building. Prior to moving out, the Bank of New York had occupied the plot of land for over 200 years.
