Carbon Air Filter - Resin Printers

Carbon Air Filter - Resin Printers Free 3D print model

Description

For the complete assembly of this filter you will need: 1 fan of 50mm 1 on/off switch 1 Cell phone charger (I'm using a 5V one) 1 small piece of acrylic wool (or something similar to hold the coal and allow air to pass through) 1 Activated carbon (from aquarism)

I developed this filter based on the Elegoo and Anycubic wireless filters.

The filter must be inside the printer, and turned on during the printing period. Its internal measurements were designed for a 50x50mm fan.

I used a cell phone charger, to connect one wire to the fan and the other to connect to the switch and again to the fan. The fan must be in the direction of blowing the air upwards.

Before fitting the top part, I made a kind of lining inside it to be able to put the activated carbon (used in aquarium). Without dropping it, I then poured the carbon almost to the top, and capped it.

The Filter works by sucking the air through the lower holes, and sending all that air to the activated carbon, which will absorb all the impurities from the resin vapor during printing. This will help to almost eliminate the resin smell during printing. It has worked very well for me.
