Hi guys,
Having now made a few of these masks, I felt this was a needed remix. Sanding the forehead to get the vertice lines out can be a real pain, filling the joining gap and sanding it is about all the real work you want to do isn't it? so here is a mask that you don't really need to sand.
Falken's original model was so fantastic I thought it deserved a few days under the knife. I won't lie, to get this smoothed out and keep details (and add them where needed) there was absolutely no way to do this in 3dsmax like I am used to because it's such thin piece to work with. I also changed the cut level, so the mask section's top is more level. I am still not happy with a few things, the nose mainly, and the loss of definition in the skull cap, so I'm reworking that still for the new mask. I tried several things, and none of them worked.. there was just no way to rework the original mesh without making a mess. So..I ended up importing it into zbrush and literally resculpting the entire thing using Falkens as the base - thats why this is a remix, he gave me the foundation to make 3 things happen.
1)- make this nice smooth remix you dont need to sand!!
2) I made a full version for people with uber printers..
and best of all (3) because I sculpted a new mask, I taught myself how to make all the other predator masks in those few days - so I will be releasing a few more masks also :) I have sliced and tested it but not printed it yet, but it will come out ok, I assure you.
