Model for the saareyachts comp.

I designed this with CNC turning & 3 axis economical milling in mind. This would be reasonably affordable to manufacture in low quantities and would be the highest quality, top and bottom baskets use the same wood batch as is used on the rest of the yacht. The baskets are also both same design to keep machine setup costs low, same jig can be used to machine both, control system is spring-less with a wiper at the top and a seal at the bottom, this should provide enough friction for the sleeve to stay in place, unit is strong enough for someone to step on(or jump on, even a fat person :) ). Low profile design 22.5mm high, flow rate is within 5% of current 30mm vent.

Materials are wood(machined from solid), nickel plated aluminum(switch, connector blocks, crank machined from solid), stainless (5mm pins and screws), bronze sleeve(can be made from hollow bar stock).

Easy to assemble(eight screws top, eight screws bottom and some cir-clips to keep the pins in place), easy to open up for cleaning(eight screws at the top takes the top off and allows access) and maintenance. Still need to finish/neaten it up a bit, but hope you like it so far.
