DESCRIPTION

The flying saucer from the classic 1951 movie 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'. I've made this version with the door open so that some of the interior can be shown, but it's very simple to make your own version closed up. No texture maps needed or provided, you'll have to give it a metal sheen yourself in your own software as these are all basic exports from Lightwave.

Thank you for modeling and SHARING this classic craft! I've found a few over the years, but yours is considerably more accurate than some others. I've tried modeling it myself and its seemingly simple shape is far more tricky to get right than one would suspect, especially when I tried to incorporate the hatch. So, thank you for saving me the futile effort and frustration! ;-)
