This Rhino gem library includes 47 gem models. They should work in Rhino 6 and higher. There are 7 fancy gems, 19 simple gems, and 19 gem cutters. There are also 4 cabochons and 19 gem outline curves. The fancy style includes brilliant cuts and step cuts. The simple style gems have much simpler facets than the fancy style. The cutter style is just the most basic shape of the gem and can be used to cut notches in prongs and seats in metal when necessary. NOTE: these models are only approximations to real gemstones. These models should be used cautiously when designing jewelry that will be produced. The size and shape of the actual gems that will be in the piece must be carefully considered in production designs.
