It's a LOW poly model. In the max file you will see another pair of shoe which is mirrored, has same UV's but it has it's own unique texture so it will be correctly mirrored.
For other applications make mirror of the export file then apply correct texture. The file was created in 3d max 2015 but saved as 2012. It's a 3d scan of the sneakers. Archive includes files with extension: .fbx, .obj, .max files
