DESCRIPTION

TEXTURE PROBLEMS: If you have problems with the textures like the model is pink, the textures are wrong, you can’t apply the textures in a different software or similar, it could be due to the following things:

  1. The Textures are displayed weird in Blender: Make sure you have at least version 2.82 of Blender. The model uses UDIM Textures, which are not supported in any earlier version of Blender

  2. The Model is Pink: That means, that Blender could not find the Textures. Make sure that you extract the zip file first, and just move the whole folder, not the sub folder/files. Or else Blender can’t find the textures anymore.

  3. Applying the Textures in After Effects Element 3D, Unity, Unreal Engine 4 and other software: The model uses UDIM Textures, which are not supported by some 3D applications. In UE4 there is a work around i think, just search for UDIM Textures in UE4 on YT. If you still want to use it in the program, you probably have to make the textures yourself.

  4. The mesh is black: This could have many reasons, for example that your shader is not connected to the output node. But one common problem is that the textures are too big for the computer to display. If that happens make sure you have the 1k version, and if that still does not help, activate the simplify setting in the render settings tab. There you can choose 512 or 256 for the final render or preview render.

If these solutions could not fix it, don't hesitate to contact me.

The .blend file is in the zip archive

It took me about 4 months to model and texture it. I tried to model it as close as possible to the original model. Because I dont own the Star Wars IP, I'm not allowed to sell it online, even though there are a lot of people that do it anyway. Thats why I give it out for free. This is a Production ready Mesh, all quads and tripple edged. It has about ~ 100 Udims. There is a 1k textures and a 2k textures version. I used the 1k version for the renders. The 2k version is quite heavy, so you need a good PC.

I would recommend to use the .blend file in the zip archive. This way the textures and materials are already there. I included some other file formats (fbx, obj, abc), but then you need to apply the textures yourself. I didn't plan on putting it up to download, so the names of the textures are not always perfect.

The hangar is unfortunataly not able to open/close. If you seperate it, you should though be able to animate it open.

If you are interested in using this model in other software I recommend using substance 3d painter, venator uses uv titles that are already ready, just import the textures and the model and apply them in the right places in substance, the texture files are already They are named which helps, then just export to the type of software you want, I used it in Unreal Engine 5 and it had the same quality as the images
