To be your first model it looks good. Maybe, since it is your first model I would put some cubemap to make the steal reflect a bit on an environment, otherwise the barrel part of the gun seems to be a little transparent (that is not). That's because your scene is grey. very similar to the gun color.
To sum up. that's a good start. Keep it up!
