This is the small employees cabin at Sequoia Nat'l Park. It is where I lived while working there. It is about a mile down the road from the main village. As far as I know, these cabins are still there. A look-see on Google Earth also showed them. These are 2 person cabins, there are about several dozen of them. All built out of redwood in the 1920s. I was fortunate that I had one lined with plywood on the inside, since these are single-walled cabins with gaps between the boards which lets the wind whistle right on thru the walls. After all, first come, first pick. I lived there from the late spring after the snow was gone until the early fall. There was also a bath house on site. At the museum here in Boise there is the exact same stove. I cooked many a meal on it.
