Description

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 8 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 OH. MY. GOD. BEST. THING. EVER!!!Don’t ask how many hours I have been searching for textures for this thing. Forever it seems like {actually for a couple months now}.This is the Hekla Aurora, a 757 especially painted in this beautiful color scheme of Aurora Borealis in Iceland. It is the first model that I ever published that features no intersections [it’s full texture, except the tail where I had to invert the text on the right side of the aircraft]. Full texture, no doors, no windows, only the windshield. Thanks to AirbusA330 and AirplaneNerd777 for the template. I have finally done it, I can’t believe my own eyes.Icelandair is the main airline of Iceland, headquartered at Reykjavík Airport in Reykjavík. It is part of the Icelandair Group and currently operates scheduled services to 35 cities in 16 countries on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean out of its hub at Keflavík International Airport. The geographical position of Iceland allows one-stop transatlantic flights, which are one pillar of the airline's business strategy, along with traffic to and from the country. In 2012, Icelandair transported 2,021,000 passengers, an increase of 16%25 compared to 2011. Icelandair has upgraded the cockpit of their Boeing 757-200s and -300s with state of the art full glass cockpit. Icelandair announced the order for 4 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. In 2011 it was announced that 3 orders will be transferred to Norwegian Air Shuttle. On December 6, 2012, the airline committed itself to ordering the upcoming Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, 8 of which will be the MAX 8, and 4 will be the MAX 9. On 13 February, 2013 ,the airlines finalized the order for 16 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and Boeing 737 MAX 9s, in addition 8 purchase rights for Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. On the 9th of December Icelandair revealed a Boeing 757-256, TF-FIU, In a new Northern Lights Livery. In February 2015, Icelandair launched a northern lights themed Boeing 757 named Hekla Aurora as part of the company’s %232MyStopover campaign. The exterior, which was hand-painted by a team of highly skilled airbrush artists from the UK, features remarkable artwork depicting an Icelandic winter scene complete with beautiful northern lights. Inside the plane, an impressive installation of LED mood lighting continues the theme by emulating both the colours and dancing patterns of the aurora. As part of Icelandair’s transatlantic fleet, the Hekla Aurora flies to all of the airline’s 39 destinations and has a three-day schedule available for passengers and observers.

EDIT: HOTFIX: replaced landing gear. Thanks to dre737 :) EDIT2: added %232MyStopover on inner side of winglets; fixed “dividing polygon” issue; made compatible thumbnail.
