Using Royalty Free License 3D models, rendering as a still image and selling it as NFT?

Discussion started by hihiment

Hi everyone

Hope you all well.

Does anybody know if cgtrader's 'Royalty Free License' 3D models gives you no trouble if you use them, render them as a still image and selling it on NFT space?

I won't be reselling or distributing the files but only be using it for my art-work and may sell it to an individual or in NFT space.

I know some artist have custom license that is limited to NFTs but how about Royalty Free License?

WIll I have any copyright issues with this?

Thanks!

found this in the royalty free licence agreement:
" For illustration, approved distribution or use of Product as Incorporated Product includes, but is not limited to:

- as rendered still images or moving images; resold as part of a feature film, broadcast, or stock photography;"

I would say that it would fit under this category. Just make sure that the model you download isn't the main thing featured in your renders and that no files of the 3D models are resold.
